Can anyone recomend somewhere that I can throw car around without hitting anything hard.

I would like to find out where its limits are safely. Rear engined cars new to me I have been aware of the weight at the back a few times. I need to learn whats going on

Thanks

Could do a training day at www.carlimits.com (4 people instructor + airfield), or bedford autodrome is about as safe as it gets for a trackday. There are airfield track days too, but you need to do your research on those as some airfields have hideous stone chips, and also the tarmac is grippy (designed to stop planes...) so you get a lot of tyre wear.

As far as trackdays are concerned, you can't get safer than Bedford. There are only one or two places where things can get nasty. Surface is good, and it won't chew your tyres up and it won't make your car looks like it's been shot by a shot gun afterward. Most of the trackdays there you can also get tuition.

Bedord is the place for learning, and has enough on offer to keep all enthusiasts happy.

I've done the carlimits day and I'm going again. It's the best way to discover the on/over the limit handling characteristics of your car IMO. Recommended.
Airfield trackdays are generally fairly safe but there has been instances of cars rolling as they dig in on the grass. The surfaces are generally not upto that of circuits so expect stone chips and tyre wear ( Elvington has a reputation for being hard on tyres)
The other problem with airfield days can be driving standards as people are more likely to hoon around pushing the car past its limits.
As said by others Bedford is designed to be safe. Be aware that Bedford is quite strict with noise. 964s are noisy and my standard exhaust would record100-101db which is right on the limit for Bedford. Any type of sport exhaust is likely to put you over the limit. A small split in my secondary silencer put me at 107db.

Try Don Palmer at Bruntingthorpe. He'll have you steering with your fingertips in no time in nice power slides. Well recommended. 1 on 1 all day. No messing around with groups or standing around. You'll also go through a lot of NLP....!

Cheers

Thanks guys looks good, will look into it.

My car does seem loud but Im sure its not 100Db so that hopefully isnt a problem(I realise its hard to tell)

been out playing this morning love it.

bit more of a challenge to drive than the Integra. That was far too easy, didnt have to try in that. This thing definately need a bit more concentration
