Schuberth or Nitro?
Discussion
Sorry people - more advice needed please.
I tried on a load of helmets today and the result of my extensive testing is that I now have very sore ears and have only found 2 helmets that fit me properly. One was a Schuberth S1 at £350, the other was a Nitro 1200 at £150.
Presumably they would both offer adequate protection and as I said, they both fit well, so is the S1 really £200 better than the Nitro or would I be wasting my money?
I saw that the S1 scored well in the recent Ride survey (2nd placed overall) and at the moment am tempted to go for it as £200 is not a lot of money if it saves your life.
Thanks once again.

I've got a Schuberth S1 and it's the best helmet I've had. Very quiet and the flip down sun visor is brilliant. Not tried the Nitro, but I'd definately go for the Schuberth again.
S...
Never tried the Schberth, but i have a Nitro 800lid. Very comfortable for £80 (bought it new from the NEC show). And has washable inners. Wasn't happy with the double D link at first, but used to it now. nice and light too.
Would def get this one or a higher# model (if needed).
