Been watching F1 avidly for many years - today was no exception. But can't face any more - it's become a total waste of time and I reckon my eyes were closed for more of today's German GP than they were open.

It had nothing. No close racing, no tension, no display of outstanding driver control, no will he/won't he make it down the inside? Nothing.

Goodbye F1

Totally agree. F1 is getting boring.

Take a look at motorbike racing. Loads of overtaking.

I was at Brands Hatch a few weeks ago watching a colleague in the Porsche open. The best racing for spectating has got to be mini racing. They all locked up wheels, went around corners on three wheels and generally drove like nutters.

Hats off to you mini racers, su--perb.

Agreed! Just got back from a great weekend at Croft. All sorts of stuff going on. Ginettas, BMWs, Ex-touring cars, 360s and 355s with big trucks and buffets but crap drivers , TVR Tasmins that keep going even if they stack it into the tyre wall (Graham!). Well done to Steve (and several others) who overtook a 400bhp F360 in his 170bhp Tasmin

Well, I was racing at Silverstone and we had everything that F1 didn't when I watched it a few weeks ago.

Plenty of overtaking, plenty of spills, plenty of sunshine and plenty of tyre squealing!!

Clubman racing rules!

It's so sad, made the move to watching bikes about 2 years ago having avidly followed every F1 championship since 1985. Did you see the Superbikes yeaterday? Awesome.

The bikes were excellent ..... did anybody see the IRL race in the evening on Sky. Wheel to wheel at over 200 mph - great stuff.

CAn't understand why you would sit in on such a glorious day to watch that rubbish (F1 I mean, not the bikes which were great - i recorded them). Why not go and support British club racing where you'll get lots of over optimistic overtaking by inexperienced drivers, mixed with the occasional fantastic displays of drivers skills from some of the experts that didn't have the family money to get into the bigtime.

Or better still have a go yourselves ! Even if you just go to watch it means you get out for a good drive/ride there and back.

Sad to say but I have lost interest in F1, and that's not because there is no real challenger, it's simply that there are no real racers out there anymore. I had hopes for Monty but what about Villneuve, when did he last get tabgled in a scrap? I have been a "mad-keen" F1 fan for the last 25 years, and remember back to pre-Hunt's days, but this Sunday I actually forgot the race was on until 1:15 and then I just nipped in to see if Shue'ie was in the lead and turned it off. I didn't even check the result until this morning on teletext. Rich...

Haven't watched ITV since last year - boredom set in and I became a Moto GP addict. Still am, but the F1 Digital on Sunday was thrill-a-minute. Certainly expensive, but astonishingly better for those who follow F1 closely - repeats late afternoon and evening, and the next day.
