if cars in for warranty work its nothing to do with OPC to provide you with a car. You call up porsche assistance and they arrange for Enterprise to give you a c class merc or equivalent. no time limit

Very much depends on your relationship with your OPC.

I booked in advance in order to specify a Porsche courtesy car, however the cars available are all for sale so its not a guarantee they won't be sold when you go to collect it.

I've had 991 4S, 981 caymans, panamera etc all whilst having work done under warranty at OPC (Cardiff). They always ask me if I need a car and it's always a Porsche. In fact, a problem on the car was always a pleasure as I always looked forward to finding out what car they'd give me whilst it was in for work. Seems odd that this isn't standardised over OPC network.

OPC said they were encouraged to get customers 'in to product'.

That's what they said to me, right before handing me the keys to a jaguar xf with black alloys...

Same for me.

Cayman R has been my favourite to date!

Could be worse - I had an X5 go into BMW for 2 weeks warranty work in Dec and they gave me a Mini. When I asked if I had a choice he looked in his draw and said "I've a blue one..".
