Hi,

I have a 2004 1.8k with Emerald Ecu, just changed the clutch and now it's a non start. No spark (not checked fuel) no light on the ECU, Pin 11 has 12v but nothing to pin 28. After a quick look round it seems that pin 28 gets it's feed from the MFU, (a separate starter relay has been fitted so it cranks) would the immobiliser stop the MFU from switching? The battery has been disconnected/flat lots of times without immobiliser intervention. Can it be bypassed?

All fuses checked and nothing left disconnected, inhibitor switch not activated.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Many thanks in advance!

As I had a non-starter a few years ago which was, after three days, traced to a poor crimp on the crank sensor, it may be something to look at?
(just in case something has been disturbed during the clutch change...)

Fixed! 12v is ignition fed to the ECU and this then sends an earth to the MFU (black box with 4 relays) which then sends the second feed to the ECU. Replacement MFU and it runs perfect.
