Helps prevent brake fade and cleans the face of the pad a bit, they do help (generally speaking, I don't own a TVR). Can be noisier than a plain disk though.

They have the greatest effect at max braking, as said above.

On track, when putting in a big stop for a tight bend, with good racing pads they stop the car better IMHO. I went from plain disks to grooved and could immediately feel the difference. They are a bit noisier under max braking.

No different in normal road use. I have Black Diamond disks on my car Daz, 324mm front, 273mm rear..

Grooves are so last year.... how about some with TVR engraved around them

Nice idea for the car show clan.
Grooves need to run to the edge to have any effect on stopping power I think.
But TBH I think the standard sized solid brakes are fine for normal road use.
They just look pathetic.
