£100K Garage: Aurora Eastwood
Lady PHer shows us boys how it's done with an arch selection of carefully chosen metal

Previously owned: It's a very long list but in my student days I had a Range Rover Classic (it was ancient), Toyota Celica GT4, Isuzu Piazza Turbo. More recently I've had a Mitsubishi Evo X, an Audi S4 and a dull but good A6 Allroad.
Currently owns: BMW X5 (baby car), BMW Z3 M Coupe (not baby car)
On the shortlist: "My dream garage comprises a car for all moods and all situations, from the school run (in a, ahem, C63) to track days in the Renault to smart garden parties in the 500SL..."
BMW 1 M Coupe
Cost: £39,999
Balance: £60,001
Why I chose it: "I drove this car back in 2011 and never forgot the experience. It's just brilliant. That superb engine, raucous raspy exhaust and awesome manual gearbox. A purists' car and one that has barely lost any value in three years. Superb, iconic, few built - almost (dare I say it) a guaranteed investment."
Mercedes C63 AMG
Cost: £29,500
Balance: £30,501
Why I chose it: "I have always loved the C63 estate as there is something fantastic about this utterly inconspicuous car that roars louder than Zeus himself tearing the sky apart with his bare hands. I had it sideways on a Hampshire B-road while the salesman in the passenger seat went paler and paler. He later remarked that he has never ever had a test drive like that in his life. I think he needed the rest of the afternoon off. If they had offered a better finance deal, I'd have had it. The school run doesn't have to be boring..."
Renault Clio V6
Cost: £13,995
Balance: £16,506
Why I chose it: "A demented little car, tricky to drive well (and therefore appealing) and if you are going to get one, why not in this totally over the top colour? The owner clearly loved it and has invested energy and money into the upkeep."
Mercedes 500SL
Cost: £14,000
Balance: £2,506
Why I chose it: "I know its another Merc but it's beautiful, timeless, elegant and has that V8 that just goes on and on. This one looks lovely and comes with a hardtop and the all important FSH. What better car to waft slowly around the Amalfi coast in?"
Subaru Impreza WRX
Cost: £2,450
Balance: £56
Why I chose it: "I can't not have an Impreza. Memories of hooning about in one on the tank tracks on Salisbury Plain back in the 90s is still fresh - that bonkers acceleration and the looks on the faces of the tank regiment I shot past. I obviously wasn't meant to be there....This one looks fairly un-buggered about with and has low-ish miles. I don't care about the image. Anyway, I can pull it off..."
I'm surprised he didn't ask you to stop and hand the keys over - I had to do that 3 times in an 18-year career in sales, as I believed I was not required to put myself in danger while attempting to sell a car.
BTW that Subaru looks to have had some paint down the side, unless it's a shadow in the picture.

Out of interest, how do the kids react to 'sideways in a C63 estate on the school run'? Joy or terror?
no one would buy any of these cars if they had £100k
that's goes for all the ones before also, it's a bit pants.
I intend to buy every car in my 100K garage before I cannot drive anymore.
How come your "real" 100K garage has not been shown?
Like the Clio V6. Yet another bonkers car from Renault. Does your Clio have seatrs for the kids, no it has a snarling V6 instead. Would not spend so much on a 2 door with a boot but hey. Might as well get an M3.
The 500SL, must be old enough to have seen Hart to Hart? Great choice.
Prefer my estates with 4WD but good personal choice clearly.
Epic name.
Not a shabby garage.

t talk is far from real life ;-)Once a tw*t, always a tw*t eh Mr Demon ? Best you crawl back to the Porsche forum and continue your "forum bulls
t talk" there as you try to convince everyone on there that your Toytown cars are the best performance cars on planet earth. Kn*bhead.no one would buy any of these cars if they had £100k

If I decided to spend £100k on the fleet, it would be far more likely that one day I would look out the window, tot up the value of 4 or 5 older cars and realise that there was £100k out there. Rather than 2 or 3 new hero cars. It's just my preference.
Also, I know for a fact that if my numbers came up this week and I could afford a £1m garage, I would have a low-value shed. I just love having a sheddy car that can be left anywhere, that I'm not precious about, lent to friends & family and that draws zero attention.
Still think my one to cover all bases is pretty decent, although io also agree i might just buy two s
thot cars and a shed maybe! My choices with links (if they still work):
The Audi - Covers the requirement of a fast, towing mobile with decent space to pack things up in.
Caterham - Th track monster, also capable of weekend b road mayhem
TVR T-350 - With the 4.3 engine upgrade has only covered 17000 miles, got the usual nitron upgrades, always wanted one, will get you to Le Mans an you can hold your head up and play with alot of the big boys on the way down.
Elise S - A quick car, for the missus, go-kart on the b-raods, not much will stay with you on the b -raods (i have driven one so i know)!! fairly economical, still a good looking car too
Subaru STI WR1 - The daily driver, Saloon so practical, a modern classic in WR1 guise, and for me the best looking Scoob, limited edition, plenty of tricks, widened track.. whats not to like.. oh its quite quick too!
