Hello Health Gods and Goddesses!!

I have an ACL injury from around 5 years ago due to a motocross accident in which my ACL snapped!! frown.
Since then I have been rehabilitating it and can do most things normally (walk, jog, run, ride bikes etc). However, Lately it has been quite sore and seems to restrict me from doing adverse exercise (training for tough mudder of sorts).

Am I too late for surgery?? Or is it just a case of revisiting the doc for an appointment and eventual surgery??

Thanks in advance!!

ACL reconstruction is to prevent instability, not pain.

If it hurts when you fall or tumble, then ACL

If it hurts all the time, usually not ACL

You need to discuss with a knee surgeon, if you are in Yorkshire I can recommend someone.

I do happen to be from Yorkshire!! Is this a private doc you have in mind??

I wouldn't say it's unstable but does "click, crack" A LOT!!! And can sometimes cause pain frown

Private or NHS, the surgeon is the same, it's your choice over money and timings. I'll give you names, you then plan.

This would be perfect! At least I can get the ball rolling and possibly see someone about it. Are you able to PM me with some more information?
