Did you buy/sell privately?

Pretty much as in the title really. I've always bought and sold my vehicles privately, just wondering due to the value of the lambo whether less trades are done in this way?

Bought my F430 privately and sold privately, no problems at all.

Bought the LP570 through a dealer, above 130k I was a little worried about buying/selling privately so I went the dealer route.

You will take a mega hit doing it that way. they take margin when selling it to you and margin when buying it back again! (and margin again if you are trading it for something else!).

Sold my 599 GTB through Ferrari main dealer on a SOR basis. Told them the money I wanted, pitched it fair and a few weeks later car sold returning me exactly what I wanted. Effortless and secure.

Bought privately and through dealers. The only problem with buying privately was payment. Ended up getting 25k in cash and taking to the seller - bit scary really... but I'd been to his house and everything seems quite legitimate.

Traders at this level put far to much % on a sale which bugs me and many offer little guarantee in reality.
