Not sure if I've done the right thing but it's a bit too late to worry now.
I've just bought a Mk6 Bentley. I shouldn't really be allowed out on my own.
Needs a bit of TLC but looks a sound enough old thing. Mulliner bodied which means it's aluminium.
Won't get my hands on it for a few days and then I'll have to decide whether to get stuck in or move it on.
Any Mk6 fans (or otherwise) to offer me re-assurance ?

I'm not a Mk6 expert but my father has a Hooper bodied sports saloon (with the smaller engine). It's nice to drive and will keep up with modern traffic speeds. My grandfather had a standard steel in the 70's and used it as his only car.
Your car will be coach built so you need to check the wooden frame is ok.
Best to join the RREC you'll get lots of advice / spares.

The Mulliner you have purchased I feel is a car I know ( brown and gold? ) and you should do all you can to preserve, re commission and enjoy her.
She is 1 of 125 Mulliner bodied MKVI Bentleys design 7122 she will feature picnic tables a pop up silk blind on the rear window and sunshine roof too. The rear doors will be “carriage” doors ( rear hinged) and if you investigate under the dash you will discover a tool draw the release catch is in the corner of the glove box.there will be a luggage blind concealed in the top of the boot.

I haven't collected the car yet but should have it in the next few days.
I have no intention of making her into a special. My plan is to assess the condition and then decide how far I need, or want, to go.
I'm hoping that straightforward re-commissioning is all that's needed.
