Have been asked to drive for my mates wedding in October. Church to reception etc etc.

Thinking of using this as an excuse to hire something cool for a long weekend.

Will need to be four doors, avaliable in October, and not come with ridic 2k deposits. Thoughts so far have been S600, C63, Bentley or Roller'

Suggestions appreciated smile

The rolls would be the obvious one.

However this takes me back to the Top Gear challenge. The Maserati James had did look the business.

But my preference would still be a Panamera.

No £2K deposits? Transit van, then. Large, different, 4 doors.......

Classic or new? Mk2 Jag would be quite cool (in my view...)

Classic would be ace. Will take a look for any specialist companies.

Avis prestige are looking pretty good for modern options.

I wanted to drive rather than be driven and hired a soft top Morris Minor - was great

the company had a few other options too including an e-type - search vanilla classics

Any self drive high end car will attract a large deposit, which is fair enough really. Look after the car and you will get it back so what's the problem? Would you hire out your 300k car and not want a contingency fund held back just in case they damage it?

As for what to go for - Bentleys or Maseratis are quite blokey cars.
