Morning all,

I've done Bedford a couple of times, and each time they were noise testing cars on the way in (before you reach the parking area etc).

My question is, what happens if you are bringing a car on a trailer? Do you have to start it up on the trailer and get it tested on the way in with all the cars that are being driven into the circuit? Or do you unload and then drive back over to the testing area?

Cheers

Some people test on the Trailer but most will take them off and warm them up before going for noise testing.

If your car won't go over speed humps, it can be a problem, but they prefer you to go to the trailer parking area, offload and return to the noise testing area. If your trailer rattles a bit, it can influence your noise readings significantly if you test the car on it!

They noise test you on the way in but they also noise test by the carpark right by the canteen / briefing area when they go off to do the ducks and drakes / follow the intructor session at the beginning of the day. So you can take your car in on a trailer do the drivers briefing and then get it noise tested.

They have a nasty combination of a lower noise limit than other MSV tracks, 101dB (A), and a noise meter that reads higher than other MSV noise meters.
