Astra VXR Stage 2 map on standard exhaust?

Hi, I'm after a bit of advise re the above, basically im trading my car in as standard in a few weeks & am swapping from a custom sports cat exhaust (taking car to stage 2) back to standard on Saturday.

My question is, obviously the stage 2 map will still be on the car, how much will vx charge me put back to standard, worth it at my expense? or more likely (garage fully aware of map on the car & are fine taking it like this), I will probably just drive steadily commuting for the next few weeks (circa 1000 miles, hence car change) .......the main question is coming.......

Will this cause any damage, what will MPG be like, will it upset the car that much?, i will just be taking it easy, mostly motorway work 75 miles a day.

I don't know specifically about the VXR but usually all it means is the car won't reach peak performance because it has a more restrictive exhaust than the map is designed for.

the map will work fine, it wont damage anything, it will just decrease the power the car makes.
