Have just read this article http://petapixel.com/2014/09/11/sandisk-unleashes-... and was wondering if there is a market for this? I personally, use nothing bigger than 16Gb on the assumption that if it lunches itself, I will still have lost a high number of images but not the gazillions that this beast could hold.
I guess it has a place if you're capturing huge video files but not sure I'd want to risk it.

I run 64Gb cards these days in my 6D, RX100 and GoPro3BE and have had no issues with them at all, in years gone by when flash was still fairly well in it's infancy I had my fair share of issues but thankfully (touch wood) those all seem to be behind me now.

4K Video and sports photographers rattling off thousands of shots, although depending on where they are they are often wifi'd straight to the picture editor.

I use lots of 16gb cards for photos because I'm paranoid that I'll break it or lose it or something stupid will happen. I've only ever really found the need for loads of photo storage whilst on holiday and unable to clear the cards onto my PC.

I use 32gb cards for video though and can see the appeal of huge size if you're doing a lot of shooting, especially high def video, and don't want the faff of constantly changing cards and doing multiple uploads from multiple cards to a PC.

In my 4K camera I've got a 1TB SSD - that holds about 90 minutes of 4K.

I can quite see these being popular for exactly this reason.
