I have an old Car & Driver magazine from 1972 with an article on the Brubaker Box. It was based on a standard VW Beetle floorpan so the driving seat was quite a way back from the windscreen. So much for all the manufacturers of much later one-box designs claiming to be the first MPV. Of course this one is nowhere near as roomy as the shape would suggest as it's quite small.

When I first saw the thread I didn't read Bru'baker' ...I read 'Straker'!
You have to be getting on a tad to recall it.

If that front timber looking bumper retracted and forwarded on its rods, that would be useful for parking (push vehicle in front a tad forwards if space was a tight squeeze!).
