Chop Shop London Garage - has to be the worst car show ever!
Discussion
Following on from a post about Wheeler Dealers, I have to say the most atrocious show is the one above. Even though it's a number of years since it was made, the absolute s
te churned out by those guys never ceased to amaze me.
So was the bar lowered to subterranean levels, or have my fellow PHers worse examples?
Monumental scenes if you need reminding:
Torching the garage with their first car, Leepu's wailing will crack you up
The Saab they gave to Martin Kemp
Leepu's trip to Niagara Falls, and the dress and haircut his poor child had.
I'm sure there's probably stuff in the PH archives about this, but nice to see if there is worse

Holy thread resurrection!
I’ve just seen an old episode where Leepu and Bernie built a “replica” of the Rover Jet 1 for Jools Holland. It didn’t look too bad as Leepu (against his better judgement!) was forced to keep to the original shape. But the mechanical bits were up to their usual standard; the brake servo was from a scrapyard and taken off an old Escort, and the prop shaft wouldn’t fit under the transmission tunnel they’d fabricated so they just chopped a hole in a chassis boxed cross-member, leaving just the bottom piece. Oh, and on the test run the steering wheel was almost 90° off centre!
As usual with his builds, it jumped from the bodywork in white with tack welds, rough edges and patches all over the place, to the glossy finished article. I can only assume he has someone who is pretty good with filler, and uses a lot of it.
I wonder how many of the celebs in that series kept the cars when they saw the builds in the TV show?

Not sure if there's already a thread or mention of it on here (probably is, so apologies in advance to mods/site staff)..
Also not sure on rules about posting links to other websites (?), the Saab aka Martin Kemps Gangster Car was taken to Santa Pod to be smashed up.
Quoted from the first post of thread:
We are placing a sealed bid for the Martin Kemp Gangsta car when it comes up for auction on the 10th January. If we get it, it will be trashed and posted through the special VW Action 's
theap' letter box, and then environmentally recycled.
Everyone will be able to buy the right to set upon it with lumphammers and cutting tools by making a donation to Brads Cancer Foundation.
This is an edit as the thread is on 66 pages at the moment. We did buy it at Coys auction... when we told them what we were buying it for, they laughed, then waived the sales commission as their charitable contribution.
(NOTE: If you want to find the thread from other website, just google "chop shop santa pod smashed car".)
Hope this is OK...
