I am having the front end of the car painted in the new year and I'm thinking of losing the side repeaters altogether and smoothing out the wings.

I know the post 1989 MOT law but that's not an issue?

What do you think?

The other thing you have to consider is when you sell the car, you might like the look but potential buyers may not.

Any mot tester i know would not pass a vehicle without side repeaters,i know when i used to do it i would not have passed it.
Get some clear/white repeaters it may save some hassle Corin

If you want to loose them - fit them on the bottom of the mirrors - they'll show up at the side of the car but will be pretty well invisible when off - I mean who sees the buttons ?..

That looks cool with no side repeaters. Very Hot Rod style.

Perhaps you could put some clear ones on the back of the mirrors instead.

Corin, the clear repeaters look good on my green car, so they will prob. almost disapear anyway on yours - just bung on clear ones and yer sorted (and of course match clear front indicators!)

I still think it looks good but something is you could do is go for some flush mounted ones.
