Stolen - Orange 5 - Edinburgh

Hi,
This bike was stolen this evening from the Morningside area of Edinburgh.
It's a 2012 in blue and was a custom spec so would be immediately obvious if it appears for sale anywhere.
18" frame, Maxle rear end
Fox 32 140mm RLC
Fox RP23 Kashima coated
Red Hope PRO2 Hubs
Mavic 717 rims
Red Answer handlebars
XT Brakes, cranks, mechs and shifters
Reverb seatpost

Just a quick update on this.
Thanks to the help of a PHer who noticed a photo of my bike on Instagram after it was stolen, the police managed to get a warrant to search the premesis of the owner of the Instagram account. (I'm guessing this individual was already known to the police considering how keen they were to get an excuse to search the house.)
A few bikes were found but no sign of mine sadly.
The theif has been in front of the children's reporter and the outcome is little more than nothing, but better than him getting away with it completely I suppose.
Still, the replacement bike will arrive next month and won't ever be left out of sight!

I know how you feel, my 2014 Five 29er got stolen from my garage 2 weeks before Xmas in Swindon along with 2 other full suspension bikes.
Have replaced my sons Canyon bike with a 2012 Orange 5, same colour as yours, but with white wheels.
Mine has been replaced with the exact bike in a different colour, managed to get hold of a shop display bike at the right price.
Enjoy the new bike when it arrives.

A 5 of similar spec is over £3k, my one had been a rolling project over a few years and I can't really be bothered sourcing all the individual bits again. I just wanted an off the shelf build so decided to take a bit of a chance and go for one of these these. Can't wait!WhiteMouse said:

No problem. Cant believe I ended up buying wheels off your mate! The insurance came through for me too. Needless to say the replacement is under lock and chain. I really hope something significant is done about the thefts sooner rather than later.
