M3/M4 - What is actually included in full leather?
Discussion
Have decided to go for a factory order M3 rather than the M4 in the showroom (have an October build we can get, and a much better deal)
Colour is Tansanite with Silverstone interior - but none of the dealers seem to be able to definitively say what's included over and above standard
BMW website/brochure seem to show top of dash in black with contrast stitch, but no clue on doors etc
Anyone here taken delivery and can answer? Even better post some pics? - not worried about whether it's a Silverstone interior or not, just trying to identify what goes from plastic to leather...
Current Spec is:
M3 DCT-M
Tanzanite
Silverstone leather
Head-Up display
HK Speakers
Heated steering wheel
Reversing camera
Adaptive Headlights
Speed limit display
Carbon fibre trim
Service pack

Just got back from Williams Stockport and they have an M3 with full Silverstone leather.
Top of dash in black
Bars across middle of dash and down console in silver
Bottom of dash/glovebox black
Top of doors front and back in black
Centre of door panel in silver and black (standard extended contrast)
All seats in silver.
Think that's about it. Basically it looks really good
It's what I've ordered. But gone for Sakhir

Sorry, yes silver leather.
I haven't looked, but maybe try Williams Used Stock website to see if there are any pics of that car up. It's an M3 in black.
Not sure when I get mine. Asked for it ASAP. Signed docs for it this morning.
Mineral grey metallic
Full Sakhir orange leather
Black alloys
Carbon trim
Sun protection glass
Rear blinds (needed with Full leather)
Adaptive lights with highbeam assist
Harmon Kardon
Do you know if the stereo has Bluetooth audio replay? IE plays music from phone over Bluetooth?
No email from you yet, by the way.

Don't think it's even an option on a 991
I highly doubt that... even the last 2011 Cayenne I drove had the option. You just set the source to BT-AUX. Should be standard with every PCM 3.1.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oPeHjgrrEIM
Assuming the description on an M5 is the same as an M3/4, extended leather is standard & it's full leather that's a cost option. On the M5 it's about a £5k option so personally a total waste of money, although it does look nice & I had full leather on my E60 M5 but it was the Dealer Principals car so was fully loaded.
IIRC, it covers the whole of the top of the dash, glovebox & upper doors with leather, may also cover the map pockets but I can't recall.

£1300 for the full leather on the M4, quite a difference from the M5!
Was a must have for myself i must say! Totally worth the money!

Just checked my F10 M5 Pricelist:
UPHOLSTERIES
Extended Merino leather Available in: Black, Sakhir Orange, Silverstone LK ● Std
Full Merino leather Available in: Black, Sakhir Orange, Silverstone Not with 776 X3 ○ £5,445
BMW Individual Extended Merino leather Available in: Amaro Brown, Champagne, Cashmere Beige, Nutmeg, Platinum, Silk Grey. All with Black world. ZA ○ £1,855
Don't know but maybe the M3/M4 doesn't have so-called 'Merino' leather or it's of a lesser quality or grade. I seem to remember reading somewhere about the difference in leather grain/quality on some high-end models but couldn't find anything to substantiate mainly because - this is quite interesting - BMW doesn't seem to clarify the grade of it's leather, it says their Merino leather (their own made up term) is 'fine grain' whatever that means, maybe trying to confuse people into thinking it's full grain, which is at the top end. I suspect it isn't otherwise why wouldn't they call it that?
Could be wrong though.
Edit: seems BMW do offer 'nappa' (napa) leather which is full-grain but this is different to Merino. I think this is/was available on the M6 but maybe I imagined it.
