I've not seen the tvr I like twice and the issues for me are
Paint has blemishes
Hazards are not working properly
Wipers don't work on intermittent.
Mileage is 120000
Oil leaking from rear diff.
It's 7k for a 93.
Chassis has been welded and passed its mot 1 month ago.
Any help of views would be appreciated

I am saddened by this post. Peter's car was/is one of the best sorted cars and still only managed £9.5k!!!That one sounds like a bit of a money pit to get up to scratch.
Where are we going with these prices? These are wonderful cars and are very under-rated IMO.
Cars being sold cheaply like this isn't representative of the quality of this performance British sportscars!!!!

Prices drop over the winter, and you can do a lot better than the one you have spotted. As has been said, it will cost a lot to get that one presentable.
Chassis replacement is a £4000 job, full respray likewise.
Never buy one to refurbish if you can find one that is closer to perfect for similar money.

Sad to say, but the biggest sale-killer is the odometer reading.
Peter's glorious 4.6 had over 80,000 miles on the odometer.
That's just run in on a diesel Audi, but viewed as astronomical by many would be TVR buyers.
They see the mileage and switch off.
The irony is that with the engine only having covered 10-15,000 miles, the suspension, bushes, brakes etc all being recent, new re-spray, carpets, hood etc, the car was effectively in far better condition than many 40,000 milers.
And it's not that they were somehow turned off when they saw the car in the flesh - he simply had no calls whatsoever at advertised prices anywhere close to what the car was worth.
I would have to pay someone to take my 90,000 miler away. Even though the 500 engine has done just 16,000 miles, suspension and brakes are upgraded and all new, loads of induction upgrades, very torquey, etc etc, outriggers done. £10k car, £12k spent. Worth? Not a lot.
