Harder Driving Theory Test.
Discussion
Apparently half the people taking the theory test are failing it after it was made harder in 2012. Some of those who pass seem to only be doing it by luck on the 90th attempt. The Mirror have published 16 questions and many of them to me seem like comedy questions still or barely relevant. The only one I got wrong was a stopping distance in metres, which I ended up overestimating, but I feel it's more practical to measure stopping distances in time when driving along anyway. Do you think these are tough or relevant enough questions and that the theory test really is doing its job of ensuring those getting to the practical test stage are good enough drivers who know what they're doing. What sort of questions should be included, or should the whole testing system be completely changed to ensure drivers are better trained and roads are safer?

I passed the car and motorcycle theory tests with 100% each time
Still doesn't stop me disobeying the rules or doing something I know to be dangerous!!
I would wager there's plenty of drivers doing stupid things that knew all the answers to the theory test questions as well...
In short, I don't really think the theory test does much - I suspect it would take something like dragging "at risk" drivers off to shadow a copper making a bereavement call to someone's family to really make the message sink in...
