I've never really had a car worth extracting more power from but I've just picked up a Fiesta ST and there are all sorts of options out there making it tempting to dip my toe in to modifying for the first time

The only thing holding me back is Ford Warranty as still have two years left. For example, you add an intercooler, exhaust and remap. The intercooler and exhaust have 12 month warranty but say something goes wrong elsewhere with the car, will Ford refuse to repair under warranty because of the modifications added? Or does it just void the ford warranty on the parts changed?

What about the Mountune stuff which is covered by Fords warranty?

It does already have the mountune upgrade fitted so that is covered but over the next few months I can see me wanting to add a little more.

Exhaust can be no louder than standard, unless you know a dodgy MOT tester?

I wouldn't want a loud exhaust, that isn't the aim, so I'd be going down the resonated route. It's just that the original exhaust is quite restrictive

Do you mean that any louder than standard exhaust fails MOT?
