Im the one at the very very back. Got boxes of nice pics and no website to display them on!
Edited: BTW, thanks for your email awhile ago. I like my old SLR a bit better now! (even though when the batteries went flat the LCD decided to go on an LSD trip!)

After selling the Nikon kit because of lack of use. I have been using various Canon, Nikon and now Sony dig cameras.
I have now just bought a Leica Minilux Zoom with the hope of rekindling my 35mm love.
With the use of the Canon FS4000 film scanner, I hope the on screen results will be far better than the Sony jpegs.

Yes, and what's more, I'm still manual focus!
I've got a load of Canon FD gear - just can't bear to part with all my nice fast lenses, T90, and F1N, and start building everything up again from scratch :-(
Pete
I was a bit reluctant to go autofocus (Canon EOS) for the same reason - I had two A1's and a good collection of FD lenses.
I borrowed a 50E from a friend and appreciated how far things have moved on, as much in metering as focus. I traded the A1's in for a EOS 30E...

Still haven't converted to digital. When they get over 20Megapixels for less than £500 I may consider changing. Might buy an 8Meg digital compact when the price drops below £200 but that would only be to present snapshots quickly to friends and family.
Don't fret - I'm perfectly happy with 3.2 and 6.1Mp
There is more to photography than simply pixels: for family snapshots 8Mp is, IMHO, quite unnecessary. You'll also be pulling lower shutter speeds and have files the size of a small country!
I was talking to a bloke recently while waiting for my car to be MOTd. We got talking about photography and he pulled out a Pentax ME from his pocket! Even more of a surprise, it had Ilford FP4 in it!!
Of course you assume he's merely got stuck on the photographic road at about 1980 - BUT - he'd only bought the camera this year... he'd always fancied developing his own film and loved it.
Good on him! It's important that traditional skills aren't lost I think.

I still have 3 film SLRs and I have no intention of selling them - I have a dSLR but I wouldn't say i've 'converted' to digital - it's just another tool and I would miss the character of film - digital images are just a little too perfect - I like grainy black and white shots too much to sell my film bodies.
