Cleaning the beast saturday morning, for a brief moment actually considered removing the wheels to clean the inside properly. Thankfully came to my senses in time. Do I love this car too much? Or am I not alone.....?

Your not alone. I Spent Sunday with a box of toothpicks, a small brush and some touch-up paint. I then spent several hours going round the car trying to address the many stone chips, to the extent that I am trug to remove the front badge to get to a chip next to the badge.

So no you are not alone.

With TVRs it is simple, you either love them or hate them, and I doubt there are many owners that fall in the latter camp.

I've cleaned the inside of the wheel rims on previous cars, although I've not got round to doing it on the Tamora yet, (but it's probably only a matter of time!!!).

I have also been known to polish the inside bore of the exhaust pipe, to remove the carbon and make it shine!

By the way Lance, do you know if you're free to meet up somewhere next Saturday morning, so that I can take a look at the carbon fibre mod in your boot?

I've now got the roof bag from Leven which helps the roof panel slide in more easily, (and does so without damaging the seals/mohair), but it's still quite tight.

How much was the roof bag then? Now you've had chance to use it, do you think it's worthwhile?

Paul...it helps protect but doesnt make it any easier to get into the boot. I've made some boot mods which work (hence me meeting Robert to show him) - see "ABS (again)" thread

Lance,

I'm in Ashford, near Staines, so how about meeting half way?

I seem to remember that if you leave the M25 at Junc 10 and head down the A3 towards Guildford, there is a fairly large layby, not far from the motorway.

How about meeting there, (unless you know anywhere easier/better)?

If that sounds OK, I can e-mail you my mobile no., just to make sure that we both end up in the same place on the day?

Slightly better...junct 9 (Leatherhead) go straight down A243/A24 to Boxhill car park (5mins). Can also look at the bikes then! Is that OK?

Paul,

The bag was £50 from Leven. As Lance said, it helps protect it, (also useful if you're carrying anything as well as the roof in the boot), but it's still a tight fit.

Having said that, it does have handles on the long edge, which make it slightly easier to pull out.

Hopefully, the carbon fibre mods, the roof bag and Lance's spacers to allow the boot to open wider, (which I also want to see), will have the roof sliding in and out with no problems at all!

That sounds fine to me.

I used to have a Kawasaki ZX10 a few years ago, (got married and sold it to help pay for a new kitchen!!!), so any excuse to go and dream again is welcome!

What sort of time did you have in mind?

Sounds good to me, (subject to the weather, as my Tamora is a fair weather toy only!).

My mobile no. will be coming through via e-mail in a few moments.
