Door Seals

Just bought new door and hood hoop seals as the old ones are rather old and tired - a bit like me!.

Does anyone know how the 'pinch' at each end of the lower horizontal part of the seal is induced? (it lets the rain water run out, rather than into the car, apparently.)

I'm told they all came like this originally from the factory. Seems a strange detail (there must have been a better way) as cold air whistles into the car at these points during the depths of winter. Not very comfy for Mrs. B

Peter,

punch small hole into the rubber, then squeeze small dab of superglue in and press to form the pinch.

Remembering not to stick your fingers to the rubber!

You can also fold the seal back on itself and tap it on to form the pinch
