I genuinly can't find anywhere to have the car vacuumed and cleaned inside. It's not filthy but its noticeably not been cleaned for a while. Should I really care? Their going to clean it anyway right?

I don't, but I try and make sure it's cleanish inside at least.

Is there a clause in your rental agreement that states that you have to have the car cleaned before you return it?

No, I thought not. smile

Mine goes back next week after 11k miles. I've never washed it.

I put similar miles on a white Mk3 Golf GTi rental, again without washing once. You can imagine what the back, particularly, looked like. I did lob it through a carwash, but it didn't help much. Nothing was said.

I clean them because I treat them like a car I own myself (apart from the handbrake turns/burnouts). Possibly why I've never been charged for damage, that and because I photograph the cars and keep records.

I frequently clean rental cars and this is as soon as I pick them up.....then they stay cleanish until I return them. Have a horrid understanding from a scientific standpoint of what germs lie everywhere from the headlining through to the seats....handles and beyond.
