Stolen/Recovered - p/ex worth and HPI?
Discussion
Morning all.
A friend recently had his Range Rover stolen in London.
He notified the insurance company, but the car was recovered by the police before the pay out day.
As he reported it to the insurance company, would the car be listed as a stolen/recovered, even though there has been no insurance payout? Would this hen appear on an HPI Check?
He is also wanting to now change the car after being put off by this incident.
He part ex's his cars, so would a main dealer actually take the car?
I have suggested to him that they may not unless the dealer where to offer a silly low bid.
Assuming it is recorded, by how much could the price be affected?
The car is a face lift Range Rover Westminster on a 12-plate with the 4.4 V8 diesel.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
