Spare wheel ideas for S2 elise?????
Discussion
I know the tyres are directional but this would not matter for a slow five mile drive to a tyre pplace.
Also, changing a lightweight style spare is less hassle than patching up in the pissing rain.
Surely as long as the wheel fits on the hub and is aduequate diameter, a single lightweight-style spare you often see on other cars would do??

It would.
My TVR Griff has a space saver (front and rear wheels are differnt sizes too and space savre has non directional tread so it doesnt matter which side it goes).
However, Id rather not use a 125 width tyre (or whatever silly size it is) where a 245 one should be. Could end up resulting in more trouble, even if driving slow.
So the best answer, IMO, is to carry a breakdown recovery card and a couple of big cans of tyre weld.
