Chaps, the chrome strip on the top of my doors have some cracks down it and sort of spoils the mega paint work (I know its me being picky)

Can you get these in just plain black vs chrome? and if so where from?

Hi mate...I have looked for this myself as mine is plain black rubber...You could try seals direct..

Give them a call and request a sample first..I think the original chrome stuff was for an MG and called a window waist strip or filler strip...Cheers...Ziga

Glen, I replaced mine a couple months back, if you actually strip the silver bit off you are indeed left with just a black channel that doesn't look too bad.
However if you want to keep the chrome I can check if I have enough left to do two doors but if I don't it is readily available off the bay.

That chrome D section will peel straight off leaving the black plastic section behind.

Peel the silver strip off if it hasn't already fallen off leaving the black plastic in place.
Buy a roll of silver or chrome pinstripe, I think its 9mm thick but measure up.
Looks great and no hassle at all.

Martin you are a star

They are perfect, in black or chrome, flexible to cope with bend and self adhesive
