I am thinking of trading up to a 997 turbo from my Boxster having recently got back into Porker ownership and realise how much I miss my C4S now having a Boxster for the summer. My question is should I do it now or wait 12 months having only had the Boxster for 4 months and will take a hit on re sale as bought from a garage. Will the cash differential grow or shrink while waiting as would only buy the Turbo from OPC or very good Indy to get a minimum 12 month worthwhile warranty.

Don't think the differential will be materially different now or in one year. More of an issue will be finding a 997 turbo in right spec. I've not seen desirable spec 997 turbo with manual, PCCB and limited slip (LSD not essential but desirable for odd track day) for over a year

That was my initial thought, however just read the thread '996 Turbo on the up'. I have seen a nice 996 in Yellow at RPM in Knaresborough and good money but thought a 997 may be the better car for purely road use and just generally more modern. Have driven both 996 and 997 now nad 996 I hvae seen is cheaper and possibly a good investment to boot!
