Looking for a bit of info

What sort of discounts have you been given off a new car from your OPC?

If you have been given a discount is it off the price of the new car or an inflated trade in or mix of both?

For 911s. Halo models like GT3 or Gt3 RS you will not get anything. Cooking models ordered new inc turbo 10% discount with you're eyes closed. Obviously Macan And Cayenne Diesel models no discount available as demand far outstrips supply for daily economical snotters. 10% about the max unless you approach OPCs at year end, March or sept when they have to get rid of certain quota

I got 10% off my Cayenne Diesel. Perhaps I was just lucky I did literally deal on the 30th December for registration 1st Jan 2014. I did also call around a lot of OPC's not just local.

I, too, would be very surprised if you could not (with a bit of patience) find an OPC that would knock 10% off the price of a Turbo (inc options).

You've lost me there , 10 % off the gross will give you the nett price Shirley ?

Or do you mean 10 % off the ex vat price which with a lower amount of vat to pay will be identical ?

I mean did you get 10% off the gross price, the total price of the car inc VAT or 10% off the net price, ie the price before adding 20% VAT?

It's the same (ie the price you pay is identical whichever way it is done)

Same difference.
10% off 100k (ex VAT) = 10k, so VAT lower as based on 90k. Total £105750
Or 10% off Inc price 117,500 = 11,750. Total £105750
QED
Understand, but I wasn't clear in my version. They are offering to up the price of my P/X rather than reduce the price of the car and as its personal, not business the VAT is not applicable. So based on a £100K inc VAT 10% off gross in £10K whereas 10% off net is £8.3K!!!

Actually my example is wrong as based on old rate!

Still the same however you cut it. If it's a new car it has VAT and increase in part ex needs to equate to discount off price inc VAT. If you really don't have to pay VAT it should rise by 10% of net price of your new car (ie before VAT). Simples smile

I just bought a 5 month old 991 Turbo and got £1500 discount of window price. Had looked into a new one but was told 4 to 5 months for delivery and told that there would be little discount.

Web sites like Carwow, DriveTheDeal and Autoebid used to list Porsche discounts but all delisted now. Was an excellent source of pricing info to approach the local dealer with. Looks like a few manufactures have been clamping down on dealership supporting these web sites and a few don't list some of the makes that they used to list.

I want to order a new Panamera Hybrid which comes in at £92k. Dealer has offered me £5 discount but I wanted closer to 10% before I am willing to buy it.

If anyone know of a dealer that would discount please drop me a PM.
