I have a drip on the block that connects the oil filter/cooler pipes to the engine block.

I have checked the pipe work jubilee clips and am sure these are tight enough, are there any known weak points that weep, are there o rings or seals etc, the leak seems to be even when the car has not been run as there is a little pool underneath when stood for a while and i can feel oil on the underneath of the round block but can's suss where it is from as can't get underneath at the moment (no ramps), i still have the bonnet off at the moment (not back from the spray shop yet)so would think now is the best time to strip this down if needed.

Any pointers please?

Most likely culprit is the thick gasket between the round block and the oil pump or the lid. Give the big nut on the lid a tighten - it will probably sort it. No need for ramps.

If not, take it off, wash off the oil with petrol off the gaskets etc, and then apply blue hylomar, then reassemble.

Hi had the same issue on mine and it was the gasket joining the remote oil filter banjo to the engine block. I couldn't find a new gasket anywhere so I ordered a small sheet of klingerite gasket material, 3mm thick. I removed the banjo and old gasket, carefully cut out a new gasket to match and bolted it all back together with a smear of hermatite gasket sealant and it's been drop tight ever since.

This is the gasket and O ring that are needed for the banjo. O ring is the same as those on an oil filter. I bought a cheap filter and took the o ring off it.

That's why I never throw away the O rings when I change the filters.... plenty of free spares.
