Is clocking still an issue on cars these days? Looking at an s320 cdi and few about with low mileages but seem tatty.

yes, few clicks of a laptop, especially large luxury vehicles. Lookup mileage correction services to see how many provide the service.

i'd imagine its very common with the naughty scamps getting cheap lease deals that only allow x miles per year

get it clocked just before the last date you need to get it serviced

Easier than ever!

I'm sure these cheap low milage restrictions lease cars don't help!
Ie take a cheap lease car with a 10K mile limit, do 30K miles a year, get "milage correction" before service.

A guy i use to know trimmed his car himself every year before it gets MOTd.
He saw nothing wrong with it.

Just buy on condition of the car, the number on the dash is not relevant.
