Well my X5 is pulling to the left

i was surprised to see that it was in tolerance when hooked up to a wheel alignment machine
they tried to make adjustments to the front toe as the rear were fine, but it was seized, so gettin getting the tie rod assembly changed to fix this.

just in case it doesn't fix it, what else could cause this?

i know someone with a lotus having a similar issue, theyve had the wheel alignment done and sorted but apparently it still pulls. i think the other option is to check the steering column, which is engine out job for him.

but what about on a 2008 bmw x5?

Tyres.

My Clio pulls slightly, it's castor on the O/S/F thats not worth the hassle & expense to sort out.

Tyre deformation.

Get down on the floor and check the INSIDE as well as the outside edges for tyre bulges.

Knackered wishbones or bushes, can cause this. More pronounced at speed, you may have the odd clonk over speed bumps etc as well.

Just about anything being worn in the suspension or steering systems can cause it, as can tyre and brake problems.

Replaced seized tie rods with new ones and hunter wheel alignment done

Still pulls to the left which I hope is from the deformation of the 20" rft on the car

All green and in tolerance

easy ones...swap tyres from left to right...the conicity of the tyres may be causing the issue.

your alignment...vehicles tend to pull towards the wheel with the least castor...so your car should be pulling to the left a little. Aim for more negative caster in your front left. Cars are sometimes set up for LHD or RHD markets by specifying caster split across the front axle. Tyres are also set up for LHD or RHD markets.

thanks
they are directional so would need to be swapped not just the wheel simple on and off

What tyres are they? Not many directional tyres on sale now.
