Just a quick question, how prevalent are the old film speed cameras? or have they all been replace with digital ones?

There is a special heritage camera scheme using box brownies, but these can't see you if you have a man in front carrying a red flag.

AIUI

Film:

Digital:

Pretty easy to work out whether it's a film camera (although less easy to work out whether it actually has a camera in it, with film. Again, AIUI, dummy Gatsos either don't flash or only flash once. Real live film Gatsos flash twice in quick succession).

I would not have thought a film camera was practical anymore, do they not have a basic digital camera in?
Are the new digitals the all dancing take a photo and it's sent off via wifi instantly?

What would be the offence if you sprayed them with saving foam. It's not permanent so I can't see criminal damage sticking. Possibly perverting the course of justice, but they would have to prove that you did it to stop people being caught. I'm sure they would find something.

There can be no offence if you are trying to save them, as evidenced by your use of saving foam. Just make sure you use a non-abrasive cloth to polish the lenses.
