I`m just wondering now we do not have a disc why can`t we pay on the day for one year just like insurance and MOT etc

We don`t have the disc so we should not need to pay from the start of the month ?.

For no better reason than those are the rules.

It will probably change in the future to daily but the current change is causing enough confusion for everyone let alone having daily tax cut offs. Everyones used to it lasting until the end of the month.
