Same son who had birth certificate problems has now got a job, thanks to JSA working out that he wants to work, but stupid regulations make employers wary. But that's a side issue. Prior to this he was house sitting his sisters empty house after several attempts on the lead flashing. Daughter eventually found a buyer offering a not silly price and son had to move out. Whilst he was living in the house, he could have his kids from former relationship ( as per court order- he has weekend right and holiday rights) . But now he can only have them for a day and partner is proving difficult. So far she's prevented him from having them on weekend days by sending them to friends etc. Now she's blatantly preventing access. My advice is for him to seek a half hour advice visit from a solicitor with the court papers and see where he stands. Ay further advice from the likes of BV etc would be welcomed. For the record, the eldest, lass of about 13 has stated her wish to go live with dad.

Where is he living now?
Who is he living with?
What are the reasons the former partner is denying access?
Is he paying child support?

Living with friends of his. ( before the question "why don't you give him a spare room" crops up - that is why he won't move back. - He looses homeless status and he want's his own place. )
Whilst he was house sitting in his sister's house he could have one or both of the kids ( if ex hadn't shunted one or both off to friends etc). Since he can only have them for a day, she has decided that ,despite the elder one's wishes to spend time with her dad, unless he can have them for at least a weekend, he's not having them full stop. And when he has them ,despite compulsory deductions from his benefit by CSA , he gets no financial help from child benefit etc from the partner.
