New Boxster vs old MX5 supercharged
Discussion
This could be interesting if this was applied to other cars - for example, what could £5k of upgrades do for a previous hot Focus vs the new one? Skoda VRS against a remapped previous shape etc.
You'd still put your own money on a Boxter if you could though. £1k worth of MX5 and no rust?

Am doing the same with my Tamora, it will have a 3.6-4.3 engine upgrade - if you like the car, why buy something else - just make the one you have better!
Also, my wife absolutely loves her Mini Cooper S, so I will be changing the suspension, brakes, wheels, exhaust and have a few engine upgrades for it next year.
I find doing this sort of stuff is more fun than actually buying a new car, especially if you plan to keep the cars for a long time.

Also very easy to ruin a car if do the wrong mods, making something faster is generally easy, doing it whilst keeping it civilised, reliable and enjoyable ont he road is more difficult. Also, my wife absolutely loves her Mini Cooper S, so I will be changing the suspension, brakes, wheels, exhaust and have a few engine upgrades for it next year.

I have already done this with my wife's MGF Trophy 160, it had a complete mechanical makeover and is now better than new. 9Again, she didn't want to scrap it when it had HGF, so I went to town on it...)
ETA - have already upgraded the suspension to Nitron adjustables and added a Quaife LSD to my Tam, ready for the extra power..
