Yes, great vids. Watching John race in the 90s and the F50 of Ian H, got me into Ferrari's big time and looking into racing. Loved racing against John back in the 00s when he returned in a standard 328. A great character on and off track.

Missing out on buying an F40 at the 200k mark a few years back just before they started their climb is the kicker, but thankfully gave me the insight to jump on a Countach before they started their own March north.

But an F40, on track is the perfect combination.

Not seen the John Pogson one before so thanks for sharing. I don't know what it is, but the F40 really is something else for me - wonderful in so many ways.

Thanks for posting. I've seen the video before but never tire watching it. John is such a smashing bloke and as for the F40, the video captures exactly what makes the car so mesmorising.

The modern supercars are incredible, albeit some more than others (599 GTO is a far more awesome experience than the F12 IMO). The 458 Speciale has just been named Autocar's 2014 best drivers car for good reason, it's amazingly agile and at 9ish secs from 0-125mph, it's silly quick.

But I think the F40 does something that's almost without equal. It combines three things. A breathtakingly stunning shape which still sends pulses racing and makes even normal people grab their smartphones for a pic, insane acceleration when the turbos come in that challenges any modern supercar and an driving experience that is more hardcore no frills go-kart than iconic supercar.

In 100 years time people will look back at the F40 and possibly the video too and think what a wonderful world we actually had in 2014 biggrin

Loved that, thank you! Watched the other XCAR video on him too. Such an easy guy to like, and I know just what he meant when he started up the yellow BB and said 'breathe it in'..
