~Firstly....probably in the wrong section. Secondly....do you mean the 135i coupe or are you talking about the m135i?

The 8 speed auto gives much better fuel economy on the motorway as it keeps revs down while cruising.


I'd go manual though as the BMW 6 speed is a great gearbox and it makes for a really engaging drive. In reality the manual is the slower car though as the auto is quick and clever.

If you are buying new, then don't worry about residuals. The manuals are rare and very much sought after. You will have NO problem selling one on.

For me, I do miss a third pedal every now and then, but 99% of the time the auto is perfect. I'd have another auto.
