Agree with you Mike - very overcrowded. The southerners bit - hmmm. Excel not the easiest to get to, and you can guarantee it will be full of astronomically "out of touch" machinery. So I'll likely pass on this too....

I plan on going on the Friday as it is a bit quieter; I wouldn't miss it for the world. A bit expensive yes, but I like having a rummage around the stalls and looking for stuff I didn't know I needed.

I took the family last year, took the train to avoid traffic & parking hassle. It was worth seeing, especially since my Uncle was displaying his car, but not sure I'd go back. Really busy and getting food was a pain.

It's a bloody good show, to be fair. I had a car in it last year, and it was a bit of a buzz to be involved. I;ll likely only go as a visitor this time, but well worth it from me. Oh, and I'm a "southerner" and I wouldn't go to London over the NEC voluntarily!

Probably go on the Sunday, bit of a blokes day out for me, my dad and my bro.

Usually make a list of the stands I want to see, quick rummage around the for sale stands, maybe a sporting bears dream ride, and back home for tea and medals!

Park at Birmingham International Station, no further to walk and a couple of quid cheaper



It is a good show, perhaps too good hence it gets too crowded!

Yes like Mike says, a bit cheaper and you don't have to cram onto a bus with the oy polloy.

Friday is a bit quieter.

Barry and I are going on the Saturday. We shall dutifully attend the TVRCC stand at the appointed hour.
It is a long established tradition ( almost 12 months now ) that we bring biscuits.

I, for one, shall buck the trend and bring something different this year.

I'm thinking, in no particular order of preference:

T reacle Tart
V iennese Whirls
R ock Cakes ( or those cakes made by Rolo ) and maybe some

S ponge Fingers.

And it's someone else's turn to make all the teas this year.
