My wifes car has two scratches running the full length of the car (done at different times!).
Fortunately neither are through the paint and should polish out.
What would you expect to pay to have scratches polished out on 3 panels?

A friend of mine got quoted £250 for two panels on his A4

Someone had randomly scratched it while parked, ignore the flat areas thats me testing how deep they were

I did it as a favour took me about 30 mins

Main dealer bodyshop spent two hours @ £35 + VAT getting out a fairly deep scratch from the vertical surface of my bootlid and a much shallower scratch that ran from the front to the rear wings.

Why not do it yourself? A dual action MOP, a bottle of polish and some wax/sealant etc would probably cost much less than paying someone to do it.

Not really I can still see them but the owner was happy , by the way the kit I used is this and I've been doing it a while

Fair enough, it looks good to me.

I've got a DAS-6 but Ive never had the stones to sand and polish like that.

There is hope for my wifes car yet! I thought, no chance in removing those! Well done.

I have a DAS-6 as well but the Rupes has a bit more "guts" for jobs like this

The rules is if you can feel the scratch with a finger nail it wont polish out, however polishing may still make it look better

I presume you've tried by hand? Although many experts perhaps quite rightly question the benefit of hand polishing, I've had some success with minor scratches and a bit of elbow grease. If that doesn't work then I would have thought a good local bodyshop would give an honest quote? I recently had small dents and scratches in my car's front wing and passenger door quoted at £900 from a large body shop that do insurance quotes etc, but I got two quotes from local bodyshops for £300, and the place I had it done at even provided a courtesy car for that money - the results are superb and that was quite a lot of work I had done; I suspect a good place would be honest if it just needed a polish to come out.
