Enough static show cars already; time for oversteer!

As much as the sore feet and wonky internet at motor shows, it's the yearning to drive some of the cars on display at motor shows that's so frustrating. The full launches aren't far away, you know that, but seeing the cars up close for the first time just intensifies that longing to get behind the wheel.

Unsurprisingly Paris has been full of such cars this week: AMG GT, Civic Type R and 458 Speciale A to name just three. So rather than clog up the homepage with another stationary car, POTW needed a car being driven. A car being driven hard really, a riposte to all the perfectly preened Paris premieres.

This should be just the ticket. A Mustang GT350 at the 2009 Silverstone Classic, beautifully balanced just beyond the limit of grip with a wisp of smoke from the overwhelmed tyres. Cars always look at their best on the move, and there's arguably no better example than this Mustang. It's guaranteed to make your desktop look faster.

Lacks a sense of drama, somehow. Maybe it's just the wonky horizon but this doesn't quite work for me.

Yes, this must be the 'Grand sport' the holy grail of Corvettes it too is just awesome.........Bit girly though.
