Good to ask known GT3 addicts on here, plus keep close to decent indies like RPM Technik, JZM and 911 Virgin. They often sell cars before they appear on their websites.

Plus another 2 of another variety! I need to up my game, although there is a potential purchase on the horizon. I just need to have a CUP of tea and think long and hard before pulling the trigger...

Anyone know what 911V were asking for the silver one.

Not that I am selling mine. I am just getting pissed off keeping the mileage down and being told not to drive it in winter. I didn't set out to buy a precious garage queen.

Ask around on all the various Porsche forums and make it known that you're seriously after one,in my opinion you need to go actively looking because if one comes up at the usual places and you take more than 2 minutes to think about it you'll miss out.

My 996 CS and my dad's 3.8RS were never publicly for sale but contact was made via email (mine was through 911uk and dad's was through here) from the owners at the time who were thinking about selling and it just went from there.

I know of another GT3 bought this way too.

I also bought my 996 GT3 same way - direct dialogue with seller. A good car is usually too late by the time it hits the dealers.

At this time of year, they normally tend to pop up for sale as the track day season comes to a close. Historically, this was the time of year to pick one up a bit cheaper with Winter looming. But probably due to the higher prices that these cars are commanding these days its not going to happen any more.

There used to be a list of 996 GT3/GT3RS owners on here, perhaps you need to use the search function and find it, you never know someone might be open to offers...
