On a light-hearted note.

Might be interesting to see if there's much commonality in what we think, and whether the response aligns with Noble marketing strategy?

"If Noble didn't exist, I would drive a ..."

Personally, I'd probably say a 911 GT3.

Yep Mk1 996 GT3.
or Honda Engined Elise.

Sagaris would be really tempting but I'd never buy one with that engine in it.

lotus M250 - Oh hold on that doesn't exist either - bugger.

Would have to agree with the VX220T route and maybe a Holden Monaro? or maybe an M5

I was amazed by the VX - 80% of the car for 50% of the money - if only I could get out of it without kneeling in a puddle!

The new M5 if I could only have 1 car... The new Farboud (sp?) might make a nice weekend toy when it becomes avaiable.

Thank God Noble DOES exist and none of us have to have anything substandard

If Noble didn't exist.... that would mean Lee would probably still be involved with the Ultima, which means you would all be driving CanAm's or GTR's.

Now there's a thought

Lotus Exige and Maserati Gran Sport - but the Noble does both trackday fun car and road going GT.

(Porsches - no style,no soul,too perfect,antiseptic)

Brian J, exiting quickly.....

I'd be f****d, and still driving around in 22 year old technology with a S1 from Hethel, and consequently my dad would still be driving a Morris Minor

Not something one wants to comprehend me thinks.

This is interesting; what is the primary trait of your current steers that you guys would look to recreate in a replacement for the non-existant Noble:
- mid engine configuration?
- track day capability?
- performance characteristics (acceleration, top speed)?
- handling characteristics?
- looks?
- interior? (sorry )
- all of the above?

It's got to be performance and the uniqueness of a Noble. I've only had mine a day but the number of people that have dropped by the house to see what a 'Noble' looks like is amazing! If I had to find an initial complaint it would be the heater controls so I see where you're coming from with the interior comment. That said, what a seriously large slab of fun for your money

most of the above, when you choose a car its not usually the 1 characteristic that makes you part from your money - its a combination of everything. but a car as focused as the noble certain things dont really apply, after all the cars are designed for track performance in a road legal package so interior, stereo and electric toys wouldnt be in the buyers mind. just the performance, handling and looks would matter. or for an adrenalin junkie just performance and handling as when your behind the wheel all you see is the blur infront, not the car around you!

saying that though i ride a moped so the only blur i see is the traffic overtaking me
