Top dollar for top cars. These are the ultimate Wedges but the lesser models are still underpriced. Still, they are generally on the increase, especially the well looked after ones.

Tony....Unfortunately i find that comment very belittling..."Lesser models"?...I detest clicks within a group and thats what is happening in the Wedge dept..I remember hearing a pathetic comment by a certain fest organiser to someone who just bought a SEAC and brought it to the fest..."Welcome to the elite club of SEAC's"...What a knobhead!..Oh so all of us who own 350's are the dregs of the Wedge fraternity..Christ what about the 280's or even worst the 200's...Cheapskates....There is no divide..In fact the earlier cars should be worth more as they were produced before the SEAC's...I never used to like the look of them but have grown to although i would rather spend money on a 5.0ltr conversion that would piss all over a SEAC....Its a WEDGE and you can go and spend all that money and still have the same issues that we all have..Welcome to the club.

A Ferrari is a Ferrari...A Lamborghini is a Lamborghini..A Wedge is a Wedge...What i like about the rest of the TVR clan is if you have a Griff you have a Griff or a Cerbera..A Chimaera...A Tuscan..There is none of that elite bks within the groups!...Okay there might be divides within the different models but thats only a small minded minority who think they are better than the rest.

We all have our preference to what we like and i for one am thankful that the majority of Wedges are affordable to the average man..If i had 20K+ to spend on a car i would NOT spend it on a Wedge..Sorry.

Blimey Zig bit of a chip there! I read it to mean lesser spec'd models - which most of ours are at the end of the day.

TVR introduced the heirarchy with the ever increasing engine sizes, power outputs and longer model postfixes - if they were still making them now I suspect we'd all be lusting after the 720SEACTDKSAX100MBPS! biggrin

My appologies Mark. What I meant to say was that the 450's and SEAC's and such are fetching higher prices compared to the rest of the range. I would not belittle any Wedge as I love them all throughout the range. I was trying to highlight today's market situation on Wedgeds. If a nice well looked after 280 Wedge come up, I would not hesitate in buying and using it. No offence intended.

You can ask any price you want for a car. It will sell for what it is worth. Those cars have all been for sale (with the exception of the white 450) for a good while. Note the other white 450 was for sale circa £10k and presumably sold. I believe that to be a realistic price.

For that money you could build a 280 to put the higher range cars to shame and have change leaft over , all be it not the 'real thing' but the smile on your face would be impressive! biggrin haha

I have to agree with the views about these higher priced examples, don't get me wrong I'd happily own any one of them, but yes at that price you'd have to be a dyed in the wool wedge only fan....

Lets not forget that everything is relative, whilst the wedges are rising in price gradually so are a lot of other classics. I remember not too long ago looking at pagoda SL Mercs and i am only talking about 3 years, you could get a an example well under 20k, ok it might not have been mint but just look at the prices now.
Another that springs to mind is the Bond Bug, jesus! seen them going and selling for 7.5k,in fact there is a resto project out there at the moment over 3.5k now come on lets be honest, as cute as the bug is surely the wedge deserves to increase in value on at least the same scale.
Stop thinking that wedges are not worth the money, they are and enjoy the fact that you own one, you will spend more money on it than you ever make anywaybiggrin
