Hi,

wondering if someone can shed some light on this. My 2006 V8V has an ipod cable coming from the rear of the car, it plays the ipod perfectly but cds won't load. The ipod adapter seems to replace all the cd slots as whichever slot I select it still plays ipod. Is this behaviour usual or odd?!

thanks

Does the CD player work normally with the iPod cable removed?

It sounds like you've got an aftermarket Denison system fitted. It works by telling the hi-fi that the iPod channel is a CD multichanger.

Somewhere there should be a switch to change between iPod and CD multichanger. Try looking under the steering wheel/dash.

As far as I could see the cable can't be removed.

Sorry I can't sort your problem but I had an Ipod connector in my 2006 V8 which was hard wired into the car and the CD worked ok.

Top marks to Bravo - spot on. Had been wondering what that little box was, didn't dare fiddle!
Thank you very much. This forum is a lifesaver as always.

I was leading onto that as I had a dension on my vantage and I had to slide the switch over to get the CDs to play.
My switch was on the transmission tunnel.
