Having a spare set of 18" Hairpins refurbished and rather than refit the old half-worn tyres back on, prefer some new rubber for my favourite MG ZT 1.8t.
My preference is for good handling particularly in the wet rather than mileage longevity.
Web searches show huge variation on brands and their prices from £40 to over £200 a tyre. Something mid-way would suit.
For some years I've usually fitted Falkens on my new cars once the original Primacy have worn. Prices for Falkens now approach those I regard as top or premium brand tyres.
Maybe there does exist a reasonably cheap "economy" product available. So, recommendations please based on actual experiences within the above criteria greatly appreciated.
