Cheerio for now - end of ownership report
Discussion
Well after three years and 20k miles, its time to move on to something a bit different. Having met a good few of you at the D&D and various events around the South East in the last three years its been a pleasure and massively added to the ownership experience - which for me has been extremely positive, despite Jockers and Cockernee's best efforts at heckling me and the V12 gang trying to tempt me into something even more silly (Woolie et al).
The advice and support on here has been second to none, from driving routes to good pubs and the sound views that allowed me to pick the right car.
I've used my car most days in the last 3 years and it's been rock solid and reliable. The only "off service" replacements have been the engine belts and a pick-up sensor shortly after I purchased it. For those of you considering purchasing and worrying about it being practical or usable - it's taken us up to Skye, down to Monte Carlo, over Route Napoleon and through the West country without missing a beat, swallowing all our luggage with ease - it's also packed in my triathlon kit including bike! It happily ambles around town, parks easily and when the roads empty out, delivers the kind of grins that stick with you. One of my most memorable moments was driving along a deserted Route Napoleon, a grey overcast day with the pops and cracks from the exhaust reverberating off the cliffs - magical!
I feel very privileged having been able to drive my dream car for 3 years. Cheers to you all for now! Kris

A requirement for more than 2 seats is making the Vantage no longer suitable, it's my only car so it needs to go (I can't stand cars sitting unused in a garage!) I'm erring towards an S4 saloon for being fast, practical and fun. Completely different car to the Vantage, so less chance of me pining

Kris, surely not
I will miss telling the story of SPA (I know I never mention it)and the epic cross country trip that Lotto, you and I took. Well it was epic for us and you had to drive sensibly as you had an insurance monitoring box in the car
Good luck me old china and don't let those wheels go too cheap

Sorry to see you go Kris and I'm glad after our last conversation that you have elected to go with the S4
I really enjoyed mine.
I certainly hope we shall continue to meet around the City and also at the D&D and other occasions as they present themselves.
At this rate I'm going to be banished to the Aston corner in the pub as I'll be the only remaining owner. Its either that or the non drinkers corner
