Thanks mate for your details, the asking price & conditions is ok
l'm buying it for my son as a gift , l'm presently working on
offshore at the moment,I won't be able to Inspect due to the nature
of my work overseas ,l would 've love to call in person but satellite
server has been down which restrict calls, most of my work has been
here in Brazil, recently up north in the oil sands,l have also worked
in Mexico,USA and offshore in New Zealand, l will contact my courier
agent to contact you for pick it up and deliver it in my place in Dublin.
Plz get back to me with your paypal details in order for me to make
payment to you cos that my only method of payment.

Would appreciate if you can email me more pictures (if available)
Plz send PayPal details for me to send money to you ASAP.

Is this complete and utter rubbish?
Please don`t laugh at me as I haven't had much experience selling my car privately! (I usually part ex)

I'm sorry OP but did you really think about doing this, for even a second??
I genuinely thought people would spot this straight away as a scam. No wonder these people keep trying it on.

I would rather put my faith in the 'Nigerian Prince' who needs my account to get his money out of the country. SO this surely is fake.

(Actually I wouldn't)

Regrettably such practices are still effective in fooling the unwary. They should not be: but they are. The Internet requires considered use. Immensley useful BUT there are scammers about. Remember the old motto "If it looks to good to be true on the Internet, it will be too good to be true".

Hahaha I would never give my bank details to anyone of the matter but what if in the slightest chance he would send someone down with a boot full of cash and actually give it to his son? For ref. I emailed him back saying cash only.

Simple rule - Guy hasn't seen car so you aren't selling to him. Never failed for me.

Doing so, and accepting bank transfer as payment, is actually safe.

Getting paypaled is not. And neither is cash unless you carry a note checker!

If you have/ ever had a cheque book.
Have a look at each cheque.

Don't listen to them ILoveCorners, just a bunch of cynical arse holes trying to fk up your sale.

Sounds perfectly reasonable - I say go for it. Any payments made online are automatically covered anyway so what have you got to lose?

I did buy a car like this before and the seller thought it was scam.

Onboard boat in Caribbean, told him i would transfer money and have truck collect car after the car was inspected.

Finally after a few Skype video calls to show him my work place he believed me and deal went through

Deffo a phishing scam. Quick c/p of a chunk of the text into Google reveals the exact same email has been sent to someone selling just an engine, and another selling a pig-trailer.

Go figure.
